Hello Crafty friends, I love Tim Holtz Colorize dies they are very impressive and for today I made Zebra Birthday cards using Winifred ( Zebra Colorize Die set).
I think that the new Animal Print Simon Says Stamp Stencils (Pack of 3) are the perfect match for Winifred (Zebra), Gertrude (giraffe), and Harrison (Lion).
Check them out…
The new Animal Print Stencils measure 6×6 inches and allow you to create patterns in leopard, giraffe, and zebra prints!!
DIY Zebra Birthday Cards
As images are better than words, I made the 90 seconds videos below to share key steps of the cardmaking process.
TIP: I strongly recomed to cut the card base to 6×6 inches and to do do the stencilling before doing partial diecutting…
- I die-cut the card base first and then I messed up the stencilling as I’m a bit impatient so it is better to avoid wasting time doing the partial die-cutting.
- As I do not like to use temporary spray adhesive ( hard to clean for the stencils) I can accidentally lift certain parts with the brush causing a stain.
- So to do the stencilling you will need to be patient and move the brush in the direction of the zebra lines ( no circular motion).

Oh!! in case you were wondering the party hat is just a rectangular piece of glitter cardstock, cut using scissors.
As you saw in the video, you can partially die-cut the bottom of the zebra at the left side of the card base or the head at the right side of the card.
Please notice that ” I do not measure anything”, I just practice eyeballing and this allows me to understand where I should do the cuts.
As the card base is 6×6 it will fit in a 6×6 envelope so regardless of how you do the partial die cutting the card dimensions will be the same and if for any reason you have to crop the card a little bit that will be ok as well.
6×6 Zebra Card
This is a 6×6 inches card option… Just in case you are looking for something less intricate.
I wanted to keep the background clean so you can also compare the 2 different card styles.
