Hello from Scotland, lets warm up the day with an awesome blog hop – giveaway to celebrate a new Simon Says Stamp Release filled with pretty and trendy products for papercraft and cardmaking: #simonsaysbestdays.
I’m joining the day 2 of the hop with 3 project ideas using the new “Bold flowers Stamp Set ” and coordinating die set, “Big Thanks,-wafer die”
I also used Tonic Craft Perfect mirror cardstock and glitter paper for the die cut sentiment…. loving the look an feel of the paper for die cut words (all supplies listed below).
I made a video to show you some tips and the products in flesh!

Top Tip: I found easier and quicker to die cut the flowers first out of white cardstock and then make a simple and quick stamping with Distress Oxide Inks. I also added a piece of tulle behind the flowers and on top of the acetate of this shaker card just to add a bit of texture .. Sometimes small details make big differences 🙂 |

| I used clear blocks instead a stamping platform so I could easily ink the stamp with Distress Oxide Inks and then apply Zigz (waterbased markers) on certain areas of the already inked stamp. In that way, I could add darker areas to the stamped images. All in one go! |

| I used Neat and Tangled clear sequins and Black Nuvo Drops to embellish and I apply white and black dots and lines to add interest to the florals. I also drew some extra dotty flowers by applying many little dots with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink and a water brush. |

| Here is another idea to stamp a background with Distress Oxide Inks and Bold Flowers Stamp Set. The stamped panel was made on Canson Watercolor paper. If you use Bristol paper or watercolour paper you could apply Zigs after stamping to add shadows and contrast. If you use regular cardstock you need to be aware because the Zigs’ ink wouldn’t run nicely on this cardstock. |

| I also tried a partial die cutting for today using Big Thanks-Wafer Die and I love how it looks with the golden word die cut on top. It is hard to show in pictures due to the reflexions but I think I nailed in this one despite the lack of daylight when I took the pictures. |

I loved watching the process, loved what you did but loved the last two with white backgrounds best. I think the tags (and I LOVE tags) were a little too crowded and the white or a longer tag would have worked better. I hope you take this as just constructive comments. I loved your work. TU!
