Hi crafty friends, the Love Day Gnomes stamp set designed by Kris Lauren for Colorado Craft Company (CCC) is beautiful and I made 2 cards to share ideas and inspiration.
All the images were stamped using Memento Black Ink in Express it Paper using the Misti and to add colour I used Arteza Brush Nib Alcohol Markers.
Platform Pop-Up Gnomes Card
To make this card, I used :
- Love Day Gnomes stamp set and Coordinating Love Day Gnomes die set
- Platform Pop-Up Die Set by Lawn Fawn.
- Platform Pop-Up Add On by Lawn Fawn.
- You can also get the combo Lawn Fawn Platform Pop Up die set and add on.
- Stars Wafer die set by Simon Says Stamp.
- The fence is from the Horizon Slimline Borders die set by Honey Bee Stamps
The Platform Pop-Up is super easy to make. After die cutting the pieces it literally takes 3 minutes to be assembled.
Decorating it is another story as it can take as long as you want it to be.
I wanted to create an arch of stars or hearts around the gnomes, without adding too much weight and I used acetate strips to help to give stability to some of the stars.
This is a tridimensional project and this specific design folds flat to fit a 6×6 envelope.
The original Platform Pop Up will fit in a C6 standard American envelope.
As I added a bunch of elements that made this card taller. Even the stamped images go beyond the backing piece of the card so that’s why.
One Layer Gnomes Card
This C6 sweet and easy card was made using:
- Love Day Gnomes stamp set and Coordinating Love Day Gnomes die set
- XL Love Greetings stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
- I used SSS Cotton Candy ink to stamp sentiments on the top portion of the background.
- Then, I stamped the sentiments using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
- Next, I used foam pads to adhere the gnomes over the front panel.
- To embellish, I die-cut some hearts out of Ruby Ritz Glitter Cardstock using dies from the Love Day Gnomes die set and I glued them on the panel.
