Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Yay You release blog hop – day 2.
For today, I’m sharing ideas using new crafty goodies from this release:
Peony Blooms Card

- Sketched Peony Blossom Hot Plate and Die ( Main flower image)
- Detailed Rose Wafer Die ( detailed gold leaves)
- Sketched Leaf Branches Hot Plates and dies ( Leaves)
- Arches Background Stamp and brown ink to stamp the background.
- A2 Marquee Wafer Dies ( die-cut background panel)
- Sentiment Labels die set ( to cut the banner and label behind the sentiment)
- Paper: Smooth cardstock ( background), A2 Card base, Strathmore watercolour paper ( foiled flower and leaves), Spellbinders glimmer Specialty ( foiled sentiment), Gold Mirror Cardstock.
- Altenew watercolour Paints ( to add random washes of colour to the foiled images).
- Silver Gems ( to embellish).
- Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to glue everything.
- To do the hot foiling, I used Espresso Bean hot foil, the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and the Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.
- I also used Gold Foundry Wax and I heat it up using a heat tool, to add a rustic touch to the banner behind the sentiment.

- Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to glue everything.
BTW I pushed to the limit the new Spellbinders Pop Up Glitter foam sheets. The Happily Ever After Wafer Dies is very intricate!
Notes:
As I wanted to give these cards an arty look, you will see thick random brush paint strokes over the die-cut flowers and the foiled peony.
That messy look is barely noticeable when you place it in contrast to metallic elements and a patterned background. It actually looks lovely.
