Hello Crafty friends, We’re celebrating the exciting Favorite Things Release by Simon Says Stamp with a fabulous blog hop and some fun giveaways!
I was lucky enough to receive a few goodies to share some creative ideas and inspiration.
For today’s project, I’ve created a slimline card (4×8 inches) by mixing and matching supplies to build a scene and add a heartfelt friendship greeting.

Card Recipe
- Round of Appaws stamp set ( critters)
- Blessed Wafer Dies ( die-cut sentiment)
- CZ Design Clear Stamps Oh Shiitake ( mushrooms)
- Swing Blossoms Wafer Die ( die cut flowers)
- Hibiscus Blooms stamp set ( sentiment: You have shown me how beautiful a day ca be when is filled with the love of a friend)
- CZ Design Sisters Forever stamp set ( sentiment: grateful for you )
- Silhouette Sentiments stamp set ( stamped butterflies)
- Slimline Floral Border Stencil (stencilled clouds and grass)
- Intense Liquid Colours ( To add colour to the images)
- Sparkle Base ( Gold Splatters)
The Process
- For the stamping, I used the Misti ( stamping Tool) and Versafine Clair Portobello Ink on Strathmore watercolour paper.
- Once the ink was dried, I used Intense Liquid Colours ( To add colour to the images) and watercolor brushes using water to spread and blend the colour over the images.
- The background was stencilled after colouring using the Slimline Floral Border Stencil.
- To cover the bottom of the mushrooms, I used mini floral die-cuts made using Swing Blossoms Wafer Die. I also coloured these flowers using Intense Liquid Colours.
