I love the new Chelsea Floral Embossed Folder by Simon Says Stamp and I’ve used it to make a super cute embossed paper floral wreath to share extra ideas and inspiration with you.
I also filmed the cardmaking process. You can watch it in the video below.
Hope you like it!

The wreaths in the video measure about 4-1/4″, you can make them larger if you want to.
Chelsea Floral Embossed Folder
You might have seen many “cut & emboss folders” in which the dies will cut part of the embossed image.
These are great for creating beautiful embossed panels and/or adding die-cut and embossed accents to our projects.
I have noticed that the latest releases by Simon Says Stamp include smaller and detailed dies with this type of embossing folder. This means we can use those small die-cut & embossed images to create components in a way we couldn’t before.
The Chelsea Floral Embossed Folder is one of the new-generation cut and embossing folders that give us more value for money.
How to use the embossing folder
3 simple steps
To emboss paper I use the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die-cutting machine.
Sandwich: Platform Base, Top Plate, Embossing Folder, one A4 cardstock sheet (250 grams) folded in half, and a metal shim.
Pinky Embossed Paper Floral Wreath
This is a 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card.
- It is essential to use nice paper to create better-looking cards. I always use Neenah 80lb or 110lb cardstock. Lately, I’m more inclined to use thicker 110Lb than thiner but it all depends on the type of project I’m creating.
- I couldn’t resist and I added small birds to the wreath.
To make the birds, I used the Layered Bird Bunch die set. - All the pieces were die-cut out of Neenah 110Lb and to add colours, I applied the same inks used to add colours to the wreaths.
- We also need to die-cut a circular base for the wreath and I used dies from the Spellbinders Everlasting Circles.
- To cut the background panel, I used the largest die from the Spellbinders Postage Edge Squares.
- To add colour, I used the following Pawsitively Saturated Simon Says Stamp Inks :
FLOWERS: Sweets, Iris, Citrine, Mandarin.
LEAVES: Aegean, Citrine. - The sentiments are from the XL Birthday Greetings stamp set.
- For sparkle, I added Taffy Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Gems.
Bluish Embossed Paper Floral Wreath
- To make this 5″ x 6 – 1/2″ card, I used the same ink colours as for the card above but instead of Sweets(Pink), I used Cadette ( Blue).
- So the inks used were:
FLOWERS: Cadette, Iris, Citrine, Mandarin.
LEAVES: Aegean, Citrine. - For the background, I used the largest die in the Spellbinders Postgae Squares die set
- We also need to die-cut a circular base for the wreath and I used dies from the Spellbinders Everlasting Circles
- I also added a couple of die-cut Layered Birds.
- The sentiments are from the XL Birthday Greetings stamp set.
- To add sparkle, I added Dusk Simon Says Stamp Embellishments
That is all for today!
I hope you like this projects.
