Hello crafty friends, here is a Pop-Up Book Card Idea using the pop-up book die set by Scrappy Tails. Im in love!
The set is designed to create book-shaped card bases or boxes that can be customized/ decorated for absolutely any occasion.
Pop-Up Book Card Idea
- The finished book measures 5×7 inches.
- It includes 2 decorative frame dies, 2 corner dies, a key, and a lock.
- It coordinates with the new 6×8 Life Is A Story Stamp And Coordinating Die Set that I used to stamp and die-cut the sentiment banners for the spine.
Putting the book together is quite easy and won’t take a lot of time … decorating it is another story. It can be quick or you can spend time having fun creating very unique and detailed compositions.
Instagram Hop
So today, I’m also participating in the Scrappy Tails Life is a Story release Instagram Blog hop.
The hop was planned for a few days back but the postage for international participants was delayed. Sadly, I did not have time to edit the video.. would you like to see the process?
Just let me know in the comments.
Card Recipe
- I used 300 grams red cardstock for the book cover
- For the accordion ( sides), I used the thinner cardstock I had available in my stash (250 grams – no great). **** I would advise using even thinner cardstock (160 gsm)
- To add the old look to this project, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink ( that was it and I applied it everywhere without fear)
- A7 Book Pop-Up Metal Craft Die
- 6X8 Life Is A Story Stamp And Coordinating Die Set
- Wild Flower Floral Stem Metal Craft Die ( red and green floral branch)
- The die-cut sentiment inside the card was made using a die from the Retro Birthday Blooms Metal Craft Die
- I love you Mom Blooms Metal Craft Die ( stitched blue leaves)
- Stitched Daisy Blooms Metal Craft Die (Butterfly and green small leaves)
That;s all for today
