Hello crafty friends, today I’m featuring the new Concentric Hearts stamp by Simon Says Stamp.
I made a Mother’s Days Card for sharing easy stamping and colouring ideas but you can use this card design and ideas to create cards for any occasion.
Concentric Hearts stamp
The Concentric Hearts stamp is a bold pull-apart 6×6 inch red rubber cling stamp. The stamp pulls apart to isolate each heart layer as well as the Love You sentiment words.
Card Recipe
To make this 6×6 inches card I used the following supplies:
- Concentric Hearts stamp (The background)
- Misti Stamping Tool
- Nested Round Hearts Wafer Dies
- Four Petal Thank You Florals (floral topper)
- CZ Design Wafer Die MOM AND DAD (Mom de-cut word)
- Making Me Smile Glimmer Hot Plates and Die Set ( hot foiled sentiment)

Cardmaking Process
Stamping the background
- To ease the stamping process with the Concentric Hearts stamp, I used Pawsitively Saturated inks by Simon Says Stamp.
- I love the fact that these inks blend beautifully at any stage of the cardmaking process. I highly recommend them. They are gorgeous!
- So I first stamped the whole image using a pink ink (cheeky) colour.
- Then, I removed some of the stamp parts and stamp over with a yellow ink colour ( lemonade) that blended perfectly with the previous pink ink layer achieving a beautiful peachy shade.
- You will never guess this is how I stamped the panel because the stamped colour blend is seamless!
***You can mass produce using the Concentric Hearts stamp by stamping the whole image using one ink tone and then stamping over different parts using another ink colour.
As a result, you will get a blend of those inks and you will easily create a new shade. This will avoid having to set the stamps in different ways over and over on your stamping platform.
If you want, you can also add a 3rd colour. For example, you could use light blue over pink so the final colour stamped on pink will be lilac.
***Yes, you can use any ink colour bearing in mind blendability options.
Colouring die-cuts
- You can also add colour to die-cuts using Pawsitively Saturated inks by Simon Says Stamp and you can blend colours over the paper too.
