Hi Crafty Friends! Phew, it is 15 days after having a breast explant surgery and I can’t believe how long it took me to make these super simple tags using the Highland Honeys stamp set and dies and Wow Fab Foils.
I apologise. I couldn’t get my post done any earlier as I have limited mobility in my arms and tenderness in my chest.
Thanks for your patience.
Highland Honeys
When WOW contacted me to participate in this collaboration with Heffy Doodle, I thought about choosing a Heffy Doodle die set to easily add to the die-cuts super cool accents using embossing powders.
However, when I saw the Highland Honeys stamp set, I couldn’t resist it. I live in the Scottish Highlands and this super sweet stamp set is a must-have. I will also use the images to add a little bit of something to envelopes and letters. I love it!!
Anyways… to make it work in combo with embossing powders or WOW products, I only had an alternative of creating a background using any WOW product.
So I chose to use Wow Fab Foils, these allowed me to easily add metallic accents to my tag’s backgrounds and also share with you the super easy process.
WOW Fab Foils
The Cardmaking Process
- First, I stamped the images from the Highland Honeys stamp set on Strathmore watercolour paper using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink using the Misti ( stamping tool).
- Then, I applied colour using Zigs and I die-cut the images using the coordinating die set and set them aside.
- Next, I die-cut a couple of tags using the Nested Tags die set by Simon Says Stamps.
- Using the Scattered Stars Stencil, I applied Tacky When Dry Gel Medium and I allowed the gel to dry.
- Then I placed Gold and Silver Fab Foil over each tag and gently rub the Fab Foil over.
- I removed the foil sheet and re-applied in areas that weren’t covered.
- I also decided to add blue and lilac distress ink over the stencilled/foiled area using blending brushes.
To finish, I stamped a sentiment at the bottom of each tag, applied inks over the stencilled /foiled areas and stick the images using SSS Foam Pads Adhesives.

Dear Bibi – I think you are doing GREAT if you can make any cards. Most people would be happy just to make the trip from bed to sofa to chair and do fundamental daily chores. I think you are a total superwoman! So glad you are finally feeling better and getting healthy!! Your cards are a “10” — I had long admired the Highland Honeys set!
