Hello crafty friends, Colorado Craft Company is celebrating a new Kris Lauren release and I made two slimline cards to share ideas and inspiration with you.
Sorry for the delay in posting! My stamps arrived yesterday late afternoon and I was running to get my projects, pictures, blog posts, etc done ASAP.

Kris Lauren Daffodil Mice Slimline Cards
- To make these cards, I stamped some images on Arches watercolour paper and some on Strathmore (both cold-pressed 300 grams).
- I like both papers. I just run out of Strathmore.
- Strathmore is easier to use for people who are new o watercolour as it doesn’t absorb the inks immediately as Arches does. It allows time to do the blending.
- To do the stamping, I used the Misti and Tsukineko VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink NOCTURNE Ink
- Then, I applied colour using Zigs and a Water Brush.
- Using coordinating dies and the Spellbinders PLATINUM 6 Die Cutting Machine, I die-cut all the images and set them aside.
- Next, I worked on the background.
- I simply die-cut two panels using the largest die from Stitched Slimline Trio die set by Heffy Doodle out of Neenah 80lb cardstock.
- Then, using the Clouds for Days Stencil, I stencilled the clouds using different SSS Pawsitively Saturated ink colours.
- I used Seafoam (blue) on one panel and Cheeky (pink) on the other panel.
- To finish, I adhered the images to the background panels using foam pads adhesives and I added accents to the eyes of the mice using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen and Nuvo Crystal Glaze
- Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive I adhered the panel to a 3-3/4″ x 8-3/4″ card base.
- I also used Spellbinders Be Bold Glimmer sentiments to add ho foiled sentiments.

Love the way you combined elements of each of these sets, Bibi! The slimline size is really cute and allows you to create a scene and “story”. I can imagine the little mouse falling into the daffodils after trying to snatch a berry that was us too high.
Love that you changed the “blue” berries to “pink” berries! That card is stunning! Love that you think outside of the box!
