Hi there, for today I’ve paired the new Lawn Fawn Pull ‘n Pop Pull Tabs Dies and the Spellbinders Butterfly Card Creator to make a large Pop-Up Butterfly Gif Card.

The Cardmaking Process

I made 2 reels (videos) for you.
- One to show you the colouring and butterfly assembling process.
- Another to show you how I assembled the pop-up.
Top Tips
Understanding how to die-cut the paper and put the mechanism together is essential. Lawn Fawn has a slow video tutorial here and they will show you exactly how to use the Pull ‘n Pop Pull Tabs.
- 2 dies are needed to die-cut the slots for the Pull ‘n Pop Pull Tabs.
It is essential that the slots are aligned as shown in the picture below.

- To ease the movement of the pull-up tab, I found that it is best to die-cut all the card layers including the card base using the die in the pictures below.
- Do not add glue over the mechanism area because it won’t move.
- I also found that the tabs are quite strong as they held perfectly this large butterfly and all the toppings.
- However, it is important to bear in mind the weight of the paper used. I’d advise using 240- 250 grams cardstock.
