Hi everyone, a while ago I made several backgrounds using Simon Says Stamp Stencils and Watercolor Powders and I wanted to put them to good use.
So today I’m sharing 3 easy and fun papercraft ideas with you. All of them require minimum supplies.
The Technique
- First, I sprayed the back of the stencils with Therm O Web Pixie Spray.
- Note: I dislike spraying my stencils with adhesive but to do this it is necessary.
- So I allowed the temporary adhesive to dry over the stencil and then I placed it over the watercolour paper.
- Next, I sprinkled the powders over the stencil and sprayed water.
- It is important to use a Light Mist Spray Bottle and control the amount of water ( less is more)
- Once the paint is dry you can remove the stencil carfully to avoid tearing the paper.
Note:
Watercolour Powders are very popular and they have been in the market for ages. I have them in every colour and for today I used Moroccan, Brights and Caribbean Tones.
If you don’t have watercolour powders you can also try this technique using any spray paint, Brusho, Nuvo Shimmer Powders or Lindys Magical Shimmer.
