Hello everyone, today I’m sharing an idea to make DIY Easter Woven Paper Baskets for teachers or for any occasion.
This packaging idea is quick and easy.
It can be done with your kids as it is relaxing and fun to make and it turned out super cute when adding die-cuts.

How to make them
- I cut 1/2″ inch wide paper stripes and I kept the length of an A4 sheet of cardstock.
- The length of the stripes was cut a few times when needed.
- For the base, I used a 4-1/4″ circle die from the Postage Edge Circles die set by Spellbinders.
So these baskets’ diameter is 4-1/4″ and the base is 2″ deep.
You can make them in any size.
To bear in mind
- My videos are fast (60 – 90 seconds) but they illustrate the very easy papercraft process.
- In real time it took me 10 minutes to make the baskets and 20 to decorate each while I browsed through my supplies to see what could fit.
- You can find slower videos on Youtube making these or other designs of paper woven baskets.
- There are many ways to achieve similar or better results.
- As this is packaging, I won’t bother trying to achieve perfection.

Bibi these darling Easter Baskets have touched my heart. So cute. I’ll try and make one with my granddaughter – after I try it myself! Wish me luck.
