Hello crafty friends, I’m passing by to share easy cardmaking ideas using Magnolia Blossom Wafer Dies, Laurel Leaves Wafer Dies, and Etched Tall Leaf Spray Wafer Die by Simon Says Stamp.
I also want to share two cardmaking formulas that I have been applying all the time and they work like a charm:
- Die-cut elongated arrangement for slimline cards on white background.
- Flower cluster or single flower over partially stamped background + stamped sentiment at the bottom.
The fun part is that the cards look different depending on the colour, size and shape of the die cuts and also the size and the shape of the card bases.
The CardMaking Process
To make these cards, I first made the card bases and I die-cut all the elements.
- First, I die-cut The flowers and leaves out of Neenah Classic Crest 80 Lb and I also made the different card bases using the same cardstock.
- I also die-cut the centrepiece of the flowers out of Gold Mirror Cardstock.
- Then, I applied Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion Distress Inks over the petals of the flowers.
- For the leaves, I applied Pine and Aspen Pawsitively Saturaed Inks.
- To apply the ink, I used Simon Says Stamp Detail Flat Blending Brushes and Small Brushes.
- The ink was applied from the centre of the pieces to the edges( I leave white edges so I didn’t cover the whole piece with colour ).
- Next, I glued the flowers together using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
- To finish, I glue the die-cuts over the different card bases using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
