Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Let’s Chill Release Blog Hop Day 1. For today I have a couple of easy and quick projects using the new Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder and die.
Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder

Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder FAUX METALlic LOOK

The cardmaking process.
This is a very easy and quick C6 card ( 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ inches).
- First, you need to emboss a 4″ x 5-1/4″ inches piece of Lawn fawn Gold Rush Cardstock using the Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder.
- Then, spray the embossed piece using Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray and spray Water to activate the ink.
- Repeat the embossing while the piece is still wet ( almost dried) to get a gorgeous embossed image.
- Allow the ink to dry and use a slightly wet piece of kitchen paper to remove the ink from the raised areas of the embossed panel revealing some of that gold cardstock underneath.

- Glue the panel to the card base.
- Die-cut the sentiment 3 times. Two out of white cardstock and one out of gold mirror cardstock. Stack the die cuts and glue them on the embossed panel.
- Embellish with Spellbinders Gems.
Done!
Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder Faux Stone Look

This is a C6 card ( 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ inches)
- First, you need to emboss a piece of Neenah 110b Cardtcok using the Sunflower Field 3D Embossing Folder.
- Then, apply Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink on the petals of the flowers and Walnut Stain Distress Ink on the centre.
- Next, spray the embossed piece using Crushed Olive, Old Paper Distress Oxide Spray and Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray + water.
- Allow the inks to dry and spray Picket Fence Distress Oxide Spray (white ink).
- Once the ink is dry, use a slightly wet piece of kitchen paper to remove the ink from the raised areas of the embossed panel.
- Next, spray the paper with Tim Holtz Tarnished Brass Mica Spray (This will add shine and also definition to the embossed image.)
- Repeat the embossing while the piece is still wet with the mica spray ( a key step to get a gorgeous embossed image).

- Glue the panel to the card base.
- Die-cut the sentiment 3 times. 1 out of white cardstock. 1 out of black cardstock and 1 out of holographic cardstock.
- Stack the die-cut sentiments to add dimension.
- Embellish with Spellbinders Gems.
Done!

3D Embossing Top Tip
- Pearlescent cardstock is a gem to do embossing using 3D embossing folders.
- They provide well-defined gorgeous embossed images.
- The paper does not crack.
- Plus they will allow you to apply easy techniques using Distress inks because the paper partially resists them.
- You can spray water over the paper if you want for softer embossing but it is not necessary.
- KEY: After applying ink and when the paper is almost dry, emboss the paper again for incredible results.

Hi, Bibi – I love the sunflowers (and they make me think of Ukraine and what else I can do to help Yana and her country) and the butterflies are also beautiful. What is kitchen paper? I am thinking maybe it’s what we in the US call “parchment paper” — we use it for lining trays and such. Your work is GORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing!
