Yana’s Bloom 3 Card Ideas
Here are some easy and simple card ideas to get your creative juices flowing using Yana’s Bloom Collection for Spellbinders.
1. Hot Foiled Decorative Accents on large die cuts
This card is a sample of how you could easily use the large Magnolia Glimmer Blooms to decorate large solid die-cuts.
- The larger butterfly die-cut was made using the larger die from So Many Butterflies die set by Bibi Cameron ( me 🙂 for Spellbinders was perfect to share this idea ( this die set will be available from Feb 14th 2022 in the market).
- I used Polished Brass hot foil on Neenah 80Lb and I added colours using Arteza Alcohol Markers (listed at the bottom of this post).
- This card also features 1 of the 3 sentiments from the Layered Script Sentiments die set and a glimmer plate from Splatter Sentiments Glimmer Set ( the word ” Wishes”).
- I use silver hot foil on black cardstock to hot foil the sentiment.
- For the background, I used Wisteria Cardstock Colour by Creative Expressions.
- To embellish, I used Spellbinders Aura Gems.
Easy Peasy!
2 Everything Foiled
Next, I made a card with a little bit of everything in Yana’s Blooms Collection.
This card is mostly foiled and it includes die-cut sentiments from the Layered Script Sentiments die set.
To make it, I used 6 of the 7 items in Yana’s Bloom Collection.
- The small Magnolia Bouquet flowers and leaves.
- A gold foiled sentiment from Splatter Sentiments Glimmer Set.
- A hexagonal frame and some leaves from Geo Foliage Glimmer Plates and Dies.
[ Available at SimonSaysStamp here or Spellbinders here ] - A hot foiled striped background made using Diagonal Glimmer Stripes Hot Foil Plate and rose gold hot foil.
- The Layered Script Sentiment was die-cut out of rose gold mirror cardstock.
I also added 3 small leaves from the new and absolutely Gorgeous Be Bold Bloom die-set. I die-cut them out of Brushed Gold cardstock.
To embellish, I used Pink Color Essential Gems.
3. Monochromatic CAS Foiled Card
Last but not least, I made this monochromatic card.
I foiled several pieces of Glimmer Specialty Cardstock using the Magnolia Glimmer Blooms plate.
The foiled image looks stunning on this paper.
However, the Glimmer Specialty Cardstock spectacular to create hot foiled sentiments, inked backgrounds, etc, is not as great to apply colour using markers due to its coating!! Nooo
So I texted Yana and she gave me the idea to leave the magnolias all white. I didn’t like it but I gave it a try.
I like it now!
The die-cut sentiment from Layered Script Sentiments die set and the background panel made using the larger dies from Flutted Classic Rectangles made a huge difference.
I also added Metal Microbeads – Summer Gold to the centre of the flowers and a few Fashion Gold embellishments.
Easier is not possible.

Beautiful cards!

First of all, I love your cards and style. Very elegant. I fell in love with the butterfly card (used in spellbinders Yana’s bloom collection 3 ways). I thought that I would like to create this beautiful card. Purchased all the necessary things I needed. Quite disappointed to find out that the butterfly is soooo large. I’m not even sure how you would find an envelope that size. Maybe you could make a note of that for future. I’m sorry that I purchased all the things now. This must be the largest card known to man
Thanks

Hello Jackie, I think, that you got the “Butterfly Card Creator die set” another die in my collection that will create an oversized 5×7 inches shaped-card.
The product description should be displayed on the website you got the set.
If you haven’t open the set, perhaps you can return and exchange it for the correct one.
For the card you are mentioning, and that is in this post, I used the larger die from ” So Many Butterflies die set” that will defo fit in a C6 envelope (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ inches).
Below each card picture you will find the correct supplies and a brief description.
I always describe and add to the supplies list the products used.
Sorry I dont know what I could do better to avoid this misunderstanding.
