Hello crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing how to create stunning card bases using Eyelet & Rings die sets and the Ascending Stairs pop-up by Carnation Crafts.
It is my first time trying Carnation, and I’m impressed!!! Loved it!
They are a British brand, and one of the most interesting things, and something completely new to me, is how they combine printed artwork with coordinating dies.
They also offer nested dies, similar to classic basics but with a decorative twist, along with oversized designs (A5 and slightly larger), perfect for statement cards yet still versatile for smaller projects.
*** They ship worldwide. Affordable, super original quality die designs.
In this post, I’m focusing on the Eyelet & Ring die sets, available in different shapes. I’m using the arch and rectangle versions here.
print → die cut → assemble
In the video, I walk you through:
- How to print the artwork.
- The paper I used and why.
- How to die-cut single and double-sided images.
- Tips to adhere and die-cut a double-sided image
- How I build basic scenes.
- How to build the pop-up stairs step by step.
