Hello crafty friends, Welcome to the Altenew May 2024 Release Inspirational Blog Hop + Giveaways. Today I’m featuring images and sentiments from the new Treasured Memories Project Kit.
Treasured Memories Project Kit

The new Treasured Memories Project Kit includes an 8×6 stamp set, coordinating dies, coordinating layering stencils for easy colouring, and a 6×6 embossing folder.
The projects

I must admit that using black cardstock for cardmaking is intimidating.
However, I had the idea to use black glossy mirror cardstock to cut a Deco Cover Frame for one of the cards after deciding to black heat-emboss the floral image…
Both the cardstock and the embossing powder have a beautiful glossy finish and that simple detail elevates the look and feel of the card.
To add extra shine I added gold -heat-embossed sentiments on black cardstock.

I also used a die from the new Deco Cover Die Set to add a decorative element to the card above.
The card below is CAS and I stamped a couple of butterflies from the Mini Delight: Butterfly Dreams Stamp & Die Set

TOP TIP: Do not remove the stamped panel from the Stampwheel to be able to do heat embossing after adding colour.
Treasured Memories
The Cardmaking Process

- First I stamped the image using Altenew Black Permanent Ink.
**Note: I used the Stampwheel and stamped multiple times until the image was crisp.

2. I left the stamping panel on the Stampwheel and I applied colour using the coordinating stencils and Altenew inks ( in the supplies list)
Flowers: Pink, yellow, and purple inks
Leaves: light and dark green ink.
Shadows: blue and pink inks ( to get a purple shade)

3. After applying colours, I stamped the image again using Versamark ink to do black heat embossing and I used Spellbinders ultra-fine black embossing powder… Gorgeous!

4. Next, I die-cut the floral cluster and cut it in half to create 2 cards.
5. I assembled the cards and I also gold heat embossed sentiments from the stamp set in the Treasured Memories Project Kit.
To adhere the sentiment to the panels, I used dimensional foam adhesives..

6. To embellish, I used Altenew Metallic Gold & Silver Gem Sparkles
