Hello!! It’s me again passing by to share an easy and quick idea using the new Fluttering Butterflies stencil by Simon Says Stamp from the Beautiful Days Release.
Fluttering Butterflies Stencil
- Fluttering Butterflies is 6×6 inches, 3-layer stencil.
- It will create 3 different butterfly designs and also a texture or a pattern.

Card Recipe
This is a C6 side folding card (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ inches)
- For the background, I used the Geo Leaf background stamp.
- The sentiment is from the Sisters Forever stamp.
- Using stamps from the Herb Labels stamp set and its coordinating label die I made the label.
- To stamp the banner and sentiment, I used Versafine Nocturne ink and the Misti.
- I also used a die from the Delicate Butterflies die set to die-cut the bodies of the butterflies.
- For a little bit of blink, I added Sunflower Sequins
Inks used:
- Background: Lemonade Pawsitively Saturated Ink.
- Pink -butterfly: Cheky, Blush, Pucker Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
- Purple -butterfly: Heather, Iris, Galaxy Pawsitively Saturated Ink
- Green -butterfly: Lemonade, Celery, Limelicious, Pawsitively Saturated Ink
- Blue -butterfly: Cadette, Surf, Royal Pawsitively Saturated Ink
Let’s go with classic and sparkly
Card Recipe
This is a C6 top folding card (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ inches)
- For the background, I used the Geo Leaf background stamp.
- The banner was made also using a stamp from the Herb Labels stamp set and coordinating label die.
- I stamped the sentiment from the new Hot Flashes stamp set using Versafine Nocturne ink and the Misti.
- To embellish used Sunflower Sequins
Inks Used
- Background: Celery Pawsitively Saturated Ink.
- Pink -butterfly: Cheky, Blush, Pucker Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
- Purple- butterfly: Heather, Iris, Galaxy Pawsitively Saturated Ink
- Blue -butterfly: Cadette, Surf, Royal Pawsitively Saturated Ink

- As you can see in the video, I added 2 contrasting ink colours with each layer.
- Yes, you can use only one ink colour with each stencilled layer or get crazy trying other colouring effects involving more than 2 inks per layer.
- For today, I decided to fussy-cut the butterflies and keep it very simple.
- I also mixed and matched supplies to make the card banners.
- These could be stencilled-only cards if we used a stencil for the background and Simon Says Stamps Sentiments Strips that are pre-printed.
