Hello crafty friends, passing by to share a couple of easy and quick cards using the “On the Horizon Stamp Set” by Simon Says Stamp.
I saw it in the Dream Big release I couldn’t resist. I had to buy it!
On the Horizon Stamp Set
- On the Horizon is a 6×8 stamp set. It includes over 30 bold/silhouettes and 7 sentiments.
- All the images reflect serenity, moments of peace, and relaxation.
- I thought this is a great addition to my stash as t will allow me to create easy and quick cards to send to friends and family in need of a brake. I know many.
Time to Relax
We just got back from a short holiday in Playa Blanca- Lanzarote Spain ( Highly recommended) and there, I saw the scenes in these cards… Gosh, it will be so amazing to live near a warm beach!
Lanzarote energized me. It was also great to see my kids happier than ever. I even thought that I want to live there. It is so peaceful as well.
So when I was stamping these cards I couldn’t avoid thinking of Lanzarote. BTW they have the biggest cactus I have ever seen. they were 3 to 5 metres tall. Gorgeous!
3 Steps Cardmaking Process
- First, I did super quick ink blending on white smooth cardstock using Large SSS Blending Brushes.
I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
For the card above ( Purple, blue and pink) I used: Violet, Surf, and Watermelon.
The Inks used for the card below were: Peachy, Watermelon, and Citrine.
2. Next, I put some water on my hands and drip it over the panels to create large drop stains.
For the purple card, I also splattered violet ink diluted with water. |
This was done just to add texture.
3. To finish, I stamped the images using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and the Misti.|
To achieve very bold images the Misti or a stamping platform is a great help.
That’s all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
X Bibi
