Hello there, here is a die-cut only bird card idea using some of the latest Simon Says Stamp die sets.
Dies used today + Clicable links:
- Layered Birdie ( topper)
- Wreath of Love ( topper)
- Stitching Sunflower ( used repeatedly to add a pattern to the background)
- Bold Thanks ( the sentiment)
- Fluted Classic Rectangles ( decorative die-cut edge)
making this Bird Card
- First, die-cut all the parts of this card.
- Then, I added colour to the wreath and the bird using Distress Inks ( listed at the bottom of this post)
- I die-cut an extra wreath our of white cardstock, I trimmed the leaves and after putting all together I decided to painted it using silver metallic paint.
- Using dimentional foam pads, I stuck the toppers on to the background panel.
- I added a purple background piece and I glued this onto a 6 x 4-1/2″ inches card base.
- To add interest to the die-cut bird, I added black and white dots using a Black Glaze Pen and a Gel white pen by Sakura and a Black Nuvo Drop on the eye.
- When the black Nuvo Drop was dried, I added over Nuvo Crystal Glaze for extra shine.
- Next, I applied Spellbinders Sparkle Silk to add shine.
- To decorate, I used Picket Fence Bright Blue and Soft Violet Pearls.
- The sentiments was cut out of Holographic Cardtsock and I white craft foam to add dimention .
**** In the video – here ( minute 8:27) you can find how I add colors to the layered birdie die-cuts.
