Hello there, for today I made 3 simple cards using images from the new SSS Be Lovely stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and bold flowers and sentiments from Love Never Fails stamp set by Spellbinders.
The cute girl’s images were stamped using Memento Black ink and colored using Copics.
For the sentiments, I used Versafine Black Onyx ink.
I decided to add wings to the cute girl images and perhaps turn them into little angels.
To do this, I used the Adeline Butterfly wafer die also by Simon Says Stamp.
For each girl, I die-cut wings out of lilac cardstock and vellum.
Be Lovely Angel Cards
As I like to add details to my projects, I also silver heat embossed the images on vellum, and I fussy cut the skirts to then glue them over the images.
This added interest and the skirts coordinate with the look and feel of the angel wings.
For the background of these cards, I also used SSS Heart Masks and I applied different Simon Says Stamp ink colors to each card.
The ink colours used are listed below:
- To do the stenciling, I simply applied a little bit of ink over the edges of the Heart Mask.
- Then, with the mask still on I stamped tone-on-tone little bold flowers from the Love Never Falls stamp set by Spellbinders.
- Once the stenciling was done, I stamped the image using black ink over the masked heart.
- This creates a shadow-stamped image. I just love the effect this little extra detail add to cards.
- Using dimensional foam pads, I stuck the angels over the shadow-stamped image.
- Then, using the Misti, I stamped the different sentiments from Love Never Fails stamp set .. these are sooo sweet, and so needed.
- For the card above, I also used die-cuts made using SSS Mini Flowers and Leaves die set.
- To add shine, I used Spellbinders Sparkle Silk over the hair of the angels.
That’s all for today

Absolutely stunning — it’s hard to pick which extra detail is my favorite — they are all so beautiful.
