Spellbinders Garden Shutters Explained

Hello there! I made a very basic interactive card using Butterfly Bliss die set from the Spellbinders Garden Shutters Collection.

I’m also sharing a video tutorial plus very basic ideas to get your creative juices flowing using dies from this collection.

The Spellbinders Garden Shutters Collection includes two main shutters die sets:

• Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutter die set (Used in this post) It will create a 5×7 inches shutter card and include beautiful butterfly dies to create decorative elements.
• Daisy Delight Garden Shutter die set It will create a C6 ( A2) Card and it includes floral dies to decorate the project.

Plus two decorative die sets designed to coordinate with the shutters:

• Eyelet Lace die set. Coordinates with the Butterfly Bliss die set 5×7 inches die set.
• Primrose Heart Facade die set. Included additional floral dies and sentiments that coordinate with the shutters.

So this is the sample I share on the video.

To make it I used Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutter die set and Eyelet Lace dies set and the sentiments are from Daisy Delight Garden Shutter die set.

I also die-cut small flowers using Mini Bloms and Sprigs Die Set by Spellbinders.

To keep it simple, I die-cut the pieces out of blue, white, and gold matte cardstock (250 grams).

The card base is made out of 300 grams cardstock.

For the sentiments, I used gold mirror cardstock by Tonic Studios.

To embellish, I used Fashion Gold Embellishments by Spellbinders but you can use similar gold metallic pearls.

Mini Gift Box

This box measures 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ inches and it is 2″ inches deep.

• To make the base of the box, I used the Envelope Punch Board and a 6″x6″ inches piece of paper.
• I punched and scored at 2″ and 4″ over the 4 sides of the paper.
• Then, using scissors I trimmed the corners and shaped the box.
• I glued the box using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Mini Tags

To make these tags, I simply die cut a little tag out of white smooth cardstock using a die from Nested Tags by Simon Says Stamp.

Then, I stamped a sentiment from Be Lovely stamp set using the Misti and Versafine Black Onyx ink.

I used foam pads to adhere the die-cut butterfly over each tag.
