Hi there, for today I have a super cute slimline card made using big picture book dies ( Bear and Body) and the new Shoot For the Stars wafer die.
Shoot For the Stars and Picture Book Bear
This card measures 8-3/4″ x 3-3/4 inches.
I love this format because it allows me to add large images and sentiments to cards that don’t need to be designed specifically for this size.
- The bear assembled measure 5″ x 3-1/2″ ( tallest and wider areas).
- Shoot For the Stars measures 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ inches.
Cardmaking Process
- First I die cut the background panel out of Neenah 110 Lb using a die from Slimline Stitching Trio die set.
- Then, I applied Distress Inks using blending bruches ( Salty Ocean, Prize Ribbon, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot)
- Once the ink belnding was done, I sprayed the panel with water.
- I allow to dry and then, I used Ramdon Dots and Starts stencil , Nuvo Spatulas, and Nuvo Winter White Glacier Paste to add the starry pattern to the background.
- To make the bear, I die-cut the pieces out of black and white cardstock using Picture Book Bear and Picture Book Big Body wafer dies.
- I assemble the bears and I adhered them over the panel using nuvo deluxe Adhesive.
- For the sentiment Shoot For The Stars, I die cut 5 pieces and stack them together to add dimention.
- To embellish I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze and I die cut a start from Staking Stars die set.
I also stamped a banner to add an extra sentiment.
To do this, I used Versafine Black Onyx ink and a sentiment from Tiny Words Encouragement stamp set.
