Hi there, for today I have three papercraft ideas using Forest Scenery stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
I see myself using this beautiful stamp set for Xmas themed cards and to make fun snowy scenes.
Forest Scenery Stamp Set
NOrther Lights and Forest Scenery
When I first saw Forest Scenery Stamp set, I kind of wanted to attempt to create a watercolour background inspired by Northern Lights ( aurora borealis).
So after watching a couple of YouTube videos… I was all ready for my first attempt!
Phew! I filmed a video and I shared it on my Instagram here!
This video should be called how to make a hot mess and turn it into something lol. An example of perseverance and it only took me 20 minutes to make the whole card.
I used 330 grm watercolour paper and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours.
To cover imperfections and give sense to this type of compositions nothing better than splattering acrylic paint diluted with water once everything is dry.
I think this scene is quite calm and I thought that this could be a great encouragement card so I stamped a sentiment from the must-have Tiny Words Encouragement stamp set.
To add a nice edging to the panel, I used the Wonky Rectangles die set to die cut the panel that I adhere it on a C6 card base.
Done!
Forest Scenery BOrders
When I thought of many of my crafty friends who don’t enjoy watercolor I decided to make some extra projects.
What about making some basic masking and easy Distress ink blending to create a coloured band to stamp over small images in this set?
I used Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Peacock Feather and Blueprint Sketch to create a gradient.
Although this is a very simple idea, this is also a very effective design.
You can use this idea to create projects in any colour and for any occasion.
To make the card and tags, I mixed sentiments from Forest Scenery and the must-have Tiny Words Encouragement stamp set.
I also used Nested Tags die set, another must- have die set by Simon Says Stamp.
Thats all for today.
I hope you enjoy this post.
Happy Crafting
