Crafty Friends are the Best Cardmaking

Hi there, for today I made a couple of cards using Crafty Bunnies stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

This is a super cute 6″x8″ inches stamp set with super cute sentiments to create cards for our creatuve friends.

The sett includes 23 individual stamps to create endless compositions by applying easy masking techniques.

I like to use a stamping platform for stamping precision and to avoid cardstock or watercolor paper waste.

For this car, I did very minimum masking just to be able to stamp the two bunnies on the table. Apart from that no more masking was required.

I stamped the iamges on Arches watercolor paper using Versafine Black Onix Ink.

To add color, I used Zigs ( Kuretake Clean Color Real Brish) and I decided to leave the background blank.

This card measures 8-1/2″ inches x 4″ inches.

As a finishing touch I used Nuvo Midas Touch and I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the bunnies eyes.

You can’t see the sparkle shimmer on the pictures but it is there and it is beautiful in flesh.

As always you can make cards in any shape or any size. Although I’m in the UK, I tend to stick to the American C6 standard card size.

This might be because in this way my cards coordinate with the beautiful envelopes I can buy on The Simon Says Stamp Shop here.

The A6 Uk standard cards are slightly larger and narrower and I should try to do more that size. To be honest the difference is minimal.

Anyways, for this card I did a little bit more masking and I used the stamping platform for stamping presicion.

As I used alcohol markers to apply colours I stamped the images on Neenah 80Lb using black Memento Ink.

I also use one die from Scalloped Stitches to cut out the bottom edge of the coloured panel.
