Hello Crafty friends, I’m passing by to share a card idea in full colour using the Ribbon Quilt die set from the “Moments in Time Release“ by Simon Says Stamp.
You might remember I previously shared three clean and simple card samples – in the blog post here – using this die with just plain white cardstock.
For today’s card, I wanted to explore something different—adding bold colour to the background—and bring the die to life in a completely new way.

This card demonstrates the versatility of the Ribbon Quilt Wafer Dies. Whether you keep it clean and white or go bold with ink and colour, the possibilities are endless.

Asymetrical Woven Ribbon in full colour

As you can see in the video, I die-cut eight Zig Zags using dies from the Ribbon Quilt Wafer Dies set, and I waved them in pairs to create the pieces of the background.
It is important to use a little bit of glue to secure the waved stripes in place ( so the pieces don’t come undone).
I glued them behind a die-cut window made using Squovals Wafer Dies to create a charming arched fence, and a cascade of yellow flowers and leafy vines.
To complete his card, I added a group of adorable die-cut ducks and a pre-printed sentiment.
All the die-cut elements were ink-blended or coloured to create a vibrant little garden scene, and the background also features soft sky blue and warm, earthy browns to help ground the layout and make the elements pop.
That’s all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
X Bibi
