Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a cosy and cheerful “Get Well Soon” card, made by mixing supplies from different occasions: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, and get well!
This is an example of how mixing and matching products can create something entirely new.
I paired a sweet cup of coffee (or tea!) with gingerbread cookies, layered over a funky stencilled background, and topped it off with a bold sentiment.
This card came together quickly and proves that with a little imagination, your stash can work overtime!
Gingerbread & Cookies Get Well Card
Let me walk you through how I made it…
Card Recipe
Here are the supplies I used:
- Neenah 110 lb carstock.
- Birthday Coffee Wafer Dies – That cup and saucer? Technically birthday-themed!
- Funky Hearts Stencil Set – I only used 2 layers of the stencil to create the background.
- Nested Domed Arches Frames Wafer Dies
- Holiday Baking Essentials Dies – The cookies bring cute festive joy anytime of the year!
- Feel Better Soon Die (CZ Design) – A bold and heartfelt sentiment perfect for the occasion.
Inks:
I keep it simple by using the same ink colours for all the elements of this card, a warm and comforting mix of red and brown Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
- Cookies: Allspice, Clay, and Paprika Pawsitively Saturated inks + Altenew Cloud White Ink.
- Cup of Coffee: Paprika and Cherry, and at the edges I applied Allspice.
- Background: I used ink left in the brush with the first layer of the stencils, and with the second layer, I used Cherry.
- For texture, I applied some inks using a sea sponge ( as seen in the video).
- I also added many little dots using the scoring tips from the Place and Score Wand by Simon Says Stamp.

That’s all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
X Bibi
