Feathered Beauty Die Set by Altenew
The Feathered Beauty Die Set by Altenew features a beautifully layered blue jay bird along with a decorative floral branch.
One of the standout features of this die set is Altenew’s key-hole layering system, which makes it very easy to identify each piece and understand how the layers fit together.
This thoughtful design removes the guesswork and makes assembly intuitive and enjoyable, even for more detailed images.
The set is ideal for all format cards or papercraft projects where you want the focal image to truly stand out.
For this side-fold 5×7 card, I kept the design simple, letting the bird be the star of the show.
I added a small nest at the bottom of the design for extra detail and storytelling. The nest and eggs were created using the Mini Delight: Nestled Whimsy Stamp & Die Set.
The sentiment comes from the stamp set included in the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Whispers in the Canopy.

The Card Making Process
All die-cut pieces were cut from Neenah 110lb cardstock and coloured with Altenew inks:
- Bird : Eastern Sky, Azurite, Sapphire
- Flowers: Maple Yellow, and Amber Blaze
- Leaves: Oak Moss and Swamp Green
- Nest: Green Gold
The sentiments were stamped using Green Gold Altenew Ink and Obsidian + the Altenew Stampwheel.
