I created two easy and quick cards to highlight the gorgeous textures from this month’s embossing folders, and I made 2 bonus cards to share extra ideas with the Splash Tales – Large Die of the Month and the Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month

Under the Sea card ideas
Embossing Folder- August 2025
This C6 card features the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month called Underwater Waltz.
It is a 10-minute make. Here is the recipe:
Card Recipe
- Background: Indigo Intense Liquid Colour applied over wet Watercolour Paper (300grams) using a blending brush, then embossed using the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month + raised areas highlighted with Altenew white ink.
- Gold Fish– from the Splash Tales – Large Die of the Month
- Coral -from the Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month
- Sentiment– from the Fish Parade – Betterpress of the Month.
- Embellishments – Altenew Crystal Clear Enamel Dots
- Cardstock: Spellbinders Colorwheel
3D embossing folder
The 3D Embossing Folder Die of the Month is called Coral Impression.
- Background: Indigo, Violet and Puple Intense Liquid Colour applied over wet Watercolour Paper (300grams) using a blending brush, then embossed using the Coral Impressions Embossing Folder of the Month + raised areas highlighted with Altenew white ink.
- Mermaid, sand castle, foliage– from the Splash Tales – Large Die of the Month
- Small fishes -from the Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month
- Sentiment– from the Fish Parade – Betterpress of the Month.
- Embellishments – Onyx Color Essentials Gems
- Cardstock: Spellbinders Colorwheel
Large Die
This 5″ x 7″ card features beautiful die-cut elements from the Splash Tales – Large Die of the Month
I also added a few elements from the Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month, and framed the scene using the absolutely stunning (and must-have!) Whale in a Bottle die set (Spellbinders kits June 2023 – still available and on sale)

- Mermaid, sand castle, foliage, “Make a splash banner”– from the Splash Tales – Large Die of the Month
- Seaweed -from the Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month
- Sentiment– from the Fish Parade – Betterpress of the Month.

Small Die
Totally loving the Spellbinders Deep Blue Two – Small Die of the Month. Although the set includes many little pieces, it’s surprisingly easy to assemble them into the cutest under-the-sea scene.
My son Harris has a black and green wetsuit, and since we love the beach, this set definitely put a big smile on my face.

Oh my goodness you totally rocked this release. I was immediately smitten when I saw your Gold Fish card, fancy Gold fish with the long flowing fins are my favorites in our actual fish pond. Then I scrolled on and saw the “little Mermaid” cards, as a mother of daughters and a Nana to grand-daughters I was taken back to all the times I’ve seen, heard or even watched “the Little Mermaid.” Your last card with the little divers looked like a page out of a story book. A 10 minute card? I am all in, especially when it turns out as well as yours did. My son loves to go fishing with his son (the kid even tried catching one barehanded!). This release would be perfect for making cards for them. Beautiful cards as always with lots of inspiration!
