Hello there! A while ago, I saw a post by my friend, cradmaker and colourist Alberto Gava, featuring fun Pikachu cards using bunny dies.
The idea stuck with me, and when I saw the new Peeking Rabbit wafer die from Simon Says Stamp, I just had to try it!
The Peeking Rabbit die set is perfect for Easter-themed projects but also super versatile. You can use it for birthdays, new baby cards, or even fun creations like this— Perfect for anyone who loves Pikachu, Japanese cartoons, and games!
This is also an invitation to get creative with supplies you might already have in your stash.
Here is the video

I also used a sunray stencil called Sunny Days by Clearly Bessotted ( discontinued), but you can use any similar one, such as the Sunburst Stencil by Waffle Flowers.
Stencilling TIPS

Here is also an idea to use one ink colour (only) with the Layered Rossette stencils.
All you have to do is to ink the brush well, and apply a darker layer of the ink with any layer of the stencils. Then, without reinking the brush, you will stencil the other three layers.
Yes! If you use Simon Says Stamp Brushes, you can easily achieve this without re-inking the brushes.
Use small brushes to add colours or details to small areas. Use large brushes to ink larger areas.
To hold the stencils in place while applying inks, I used Gelly Plates or Tacky Mats. You can get these in different shapes and sizes.
For the background, I also used the Scattered Stars stencil and Altnew Mayan Gold Relief Paste. This is an intense gold colour. Love it!

I also used Cadette (Blue) and Cherry (red) Pawsitively Saturated ink,s giving the cards a full-on American look and feel… I couldn’t help it—USA is always in my heart!” 🇺🇸
This idea could also inspire you to create cards for Independence Day, July 4th—of course, you won’t need Pikachu for that one!
Thirsty for more?
That’s all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
