Hi crafty friends, I’m passing by to share an easy and quick card idea using the new Craft-A-Flower: Japanese Anemone Die Set and Gold Inks by Altenew.
I’m a big fan of transparencies, metallic accents, golden or silver elements… everything that shines is good to me for cardmaking.
So for today, I used gold inks to add colour to die-cuts.
The process was effortless and the inks added a completely different look and feel to the Japanese Anemone …. it will do the same for any die-cut flower.

This is a large format card.
It measures 4-1/2″ x 8″ inches but you can use this idea to make cards, boxes or any other papercraft project in any size.
To make it, you will need just a handful of materials
Card Recipe
- Spellbinders Die cutting machine
- Craft-A-Flower: Japanese Anemone Layering Die Set
- White Smooth cardstock ( 300 grams).
- Antique Gold Pigment Ink
- Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink
- Rose Gold Pigment Ink
- Mini Blending Brush Set
- Gold Mirror Cardstock
The Cardmaking Process

- First, I die-cut all the pieces for the flowers out of 300 grams -smooth white cardstock.
- The flower stems and centres were cut out of gold mirror cardstock.
- The die-cuts have a keyhole system and they are numbered.
- Then, I applied:
Antique Gold Pigment Ink to the die-cuts with the number 3.
Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink to the die-cuts with the number 2
Rose Gold Pigment Ink to the ones with the number 1 and the flower buttons.

- In this order of ideas, I tried to add the darkest metallic ink colour to the petals in the back and the lightest colour to the petals in the front.
- For some inexplicable reason, I added a hint of Rasberry Sunset Fresh ink in the centre of the petals and altered the ink colours ( I really didn’t want that but it was done.)
- For the leaves, I used Antique Gold Pigment Ink.
- Once the die-cuts were dry, I assembled the flowers and layered them on the front of the card as seen in the pictures.
That is all for today.
I hope you like this idea.
