Hello crafty friends, I’m passing by to share DIY love card ideas using the new Printmaking Hearts Stamp Set and the Love You Wafer Dies by Simon Says Stamps.
These supplies are included in the Smitten Release filled with seasonal products for cardmaking and papercrafts.
These cards are easy and quick projects.
Printmaking Hearts Stamp Set
The Printmaking Hearts Stamp Set includes 3 layering stamps that allow you to add different ink colours to each heart.
Watch the process on the YouTube short below
- As shown in the videos, I used 3 different ink colours from the same family ( light, medium, and dark) for each panel.
- After stamping the panels, I did inlaid die-cutting using a die from the Love You die set.
- So I simply placed the die over the panel and run it through the die cutting machine.
- I carefully removed the die- cut from the panel. So now we will have a gap in the centre that we will need to fill in with a new die-cut sentiment and the negative pieces we got from die- cutting the panel.
- I stuck double-sided adhesive paper at the back of the panel, to easily adhere the inlaid die-cuts in place. Just like putting a puzzle together.
- To show you an extra option, I also made a card without the inlaid die-cut ( the one with the black background) meaning I just glued the die-cut over but it was looking a bit dull so I stacked 3 more die-cut words and used black glossy mirror cardstock for the top one.
I love the look and feel of the inlaid die-cut, the cards are completely flat.
Yes! You can also do some stamping to customise these cards for different recipients: a friend, your partner, your parents, your kids… anyone.
