Hi crafty friends, I’m passing by to share two handmade card ideas using Altenew Trailblazing Inks and Hanging Flowers die set.
I couldn’t resist and used dies from the Spellbinders Delicate Floral Hummingbirds die set to create a die-cut hummingbird for one of the cards.
The beautiful sentiments are from the “Just Miss You” stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
For the stencilled background, I used the Clearly Besotted Build It Stencil and the new Gray Skies Pawsitively Inks ( fawn/ flannel).

How do I do it?
- I die-cut all the pieces out of white cardstock.
- Then, I applied ink over the die cuts using different brush sizes ( medium and detail brushes) and Trailblazing Inks.
- I assembled the layered flowers and leaves. Then, I applied Redwood Trailblazing ink at the edges of the die-cuts
- Next, I did the stencilled backgrounds directly onto the front panel of the cards and I layered down the die-cuts over the panels to then glue them together to make the different arrangements.
- For the card with the hummingbird, I used a chipboard hook I had in my stash (you can use a circular frame made using circle dies).
- Once everything was glued in place, I also used a water brush to apply water over the flowers and in that way, I distressed the ink a little bit.
- I also used a micro-fine brown pen to add some dots around the centre of the flowers just to add interest.
- To stamp the sentiments, I used Versafine Clair ink and the Misti
