SKIING SNOWMAN XMAS CARDS
- This is a C6 card. It measures 5-1/2 x 4-1/4″ inches.
- I die-cut almost all the pieces out of white smooth cardstock.
- The hat was die cut out of black cardstock.
- Using Alcohol markers or Distress inks, I added colors to the white die cuts.
- To make something different, I used the pine die-cuts to create a bush. I applied on these die cuts Crushed Olive Distress Ink and then I sprayed them using Crackling Campfire Spray Stain.
- For the North Pole sign and the skis, I used Rusted Hinge Distress Oxide spray, Crackling Campfire Spray Stain, and to add some shine I also applied Golden Glitz Tsukineko Delicata Pigment Ink.
- Once everything was colored, I assembled the snowman, the sing, and the bushes.
- For the background, I sprayed a piece of smooth cardstock using Speckled Egg Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray. I think sprays will help me to skip the ink blending if I just want a solid background colour.
- Then, I embossed the paper using the FSJ Pretty Plaid embossing folder, and using an ergonomic brush I applied Broken China Distress ink over the embossed panel.
- Using a couple of ‘Hill dies”, I die cut the hills.
- The ” Merry Christmas” sentiment is from FSJ Inside and Out stamp set.
HAPPY SNOWMEN XMAS CARD
For this C6 card, I die cut a heart-shaped window out of the front panel of the card using a heart die from Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Heart die set.
Then, I applied Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord Distress inks and I sprayed the panel with water to create white speckles.
I decided to use one of the sentiments from the stamp set included in the Spellbinders Card Kit this month right in the center of the window.
BTW I really like the stamp set in the month kit and soon I’ll be sharing some projects.
The super cute die-cut lamp post and the tiny flowers on the snow man scarf and hat were made also using the die set included in the card kit this month as well.
To decorate these cards, I used crystal sequins.
