Hello Crafty friends, We’re celebrating the Simon Says Stamp -Happy Camper Release with a fun blog hop and giveaways!
I love die-cutting, so I’m excited to share a couple of card ideas using some of the gorgeous new products I received from the release.
Starting with the new mini ink cube colours in rich reds and earthy browns, floral die-cuts and basic die-cut label shapes to create compositions that are full of detail, yet still easy and fun to make.
Oh! I also tried Shimmer Vellum (see the dragonfly wings), detail blending brushes by Spellbinders. I also mentioned how much I like the new Pawsitively Glue by Simon Says Stamps

Floral Dragonfly Card
This C6/A2 card features a soft embossed background with the new Blossom Bursts Embossing Folder, layered florals from the Fantasy Bouquet die set, and a topper made using the Bright Dragonfly Wafer Dies and Modern Teardrops dies.
Finished with red tones from Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes and a sparkle from the Peppermint Mix Gems. The sentiment is from the Thank You Basics stamp set—simple and classic!
The dragonfly wings also feature stunning Simon Says Stamp Shimmer Vellum ( new favourite for this type of die-cuts)

Bonus Card
This C6/ A2 card was actually the first one I made while experimenting with the new products.
I wanted to explore the new mini ink cube colours and provide you with a visual idea of how they look when blended.
It’s also important to me to show you layering options, apertures, transparencies, textures and backgrounds.
When using new products, it’s always a bit of an experiment… I’ve often caught myself thinking I should’ve stopped earlier and left the card clean and simple, but then it is in that ongoing exploration that we truly discover what’s possible.
The truth is the Sky’s the limit, and you can shape, cut, or colour the paper in any way your imagination leads you.
