Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you had a great weekend! The Scottish Highlands had a couple of hot sunny days last week and my family and I were exploring some beaches on the west coast. We visited Achmelvich Beach and I shared a wee video on Instagram here. You would never think you could find places like that in the north of the UK.
So every Sunday it’s my turn to share a bit of Honey Bee Stamps inspiration and for today I made a very easy card using Zen Floral stamp Set, Bee- You-Tiful Stamp Set and “Wonderful” Honey Cut die.
I also have been trying the new Nuvo detail embossing powders by Tonic Studios (not yet released) and I’m loving them. The images from Zen Floral Stamp set are small and despite them having fine lines and a lot of detail the embossing powders still reveal every intricacy offering real image definition.
How I do it?
- I die cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Paper with a 3-3/4″ (9.5cm) heart die from Heart Layering Dies by Tonic Studios.
- I stamped with Clear Versamark ink and heat emboss using Nuvo classic gold detail embossing powder ( soon in the market)
- I added colours using Nuvo Water brushesandNuvo Brush Script pens.
I inlaid the word “wonderful” into the heart die cut ( This means that I cut the heart using the “wonderful” word die and stuck another die cut in the negative space created by the word die), then I felt it needed a bit more of dimension and I cut the word again from Honey Gold Satin Effect – Craft Perfect Mirror Card and I glued on top.
It is incredible how versatile these craft supplies are. Below another 2 projects I made with same supplies. Click on the pictures to see more…
That’s all for today…
I really hope you enjoyed my project.
