Hello crafty friends, we are close to say farewell to STAMPtemeber 2022 and I was exploring the exclusive stamp sets that could be still available. I spotted the super sweet La La Land collaboration that was released a couple of days back.
It took me longer to create this post than the set to sell out !!! Nooo!!!
Anyways, I’m just passing by to share this super simple idea with you using the “Fabulous Holiday stamp set”.
So here is an idea to stamp the images using Simon Says Stamp Black Intense Ink over Neenah 80lb using the Misti to then add color to the images using alcohol Markers and fussy cut.
Neenah 80lb is easy to fussy cut because is medium weight cardstock and I alwys use it to create toppers. For the card base or when doing ink lending I like to use Neenah 110lb (Thicker).
After fussy cutting the images, you can easily overlap them over a stenciled background or an inked background.
I do this all the time so this isn’t new.
For the background, I used the SSS Thin Tile Stencil + Morning and Cadette Pawsitively staurated Inks.
To rescue any detail of the images that I might have trimmed down while doing fussy cutting (e.g eyelashes or little lines sticking out the images) I do something I call shadowing stamping.
Shadowing Stamping is an easy technique that will allow you to add dimension and interest to simple compositions.
All you have to do is to stamp an image using a neutral ink colour or black and then adding the same fussy cut or die -cut coloured image over using a dimensional foam pad.
