Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release Blog Hop.
Today I’m sharing a sweet seagull and floral-themed card featuring some of my favourite products from this beautiful new release.
I hope this card inspires you to get crafty! Let me know in the comments which new product from this release has caught your eye.

I’m loving the new A7 arch die set, the set is amazing value and make it so easy to create beautiful 5×7 shaped cards. The new ink colours are gorgeous and the new 1″ blending bruses make ink blending smooth, quick, and effortless.

The process

Card Base and Backing Panels
First, I die-cut the arch-shaped card base in layers from Neenah 110lb cardstock, using the A7 Arches Wafer Dies.
Then, using the Yellow Sunrises Ink Cubes, I blended Shell at the bottom, Flax in the middle, and Coral at the top.
After that, I embossed the panel with the Presto Pop Embossing Folder and lightly applied white ink over the raised areas to highlight the texture.
The flowers
Next, I die-cut the flowers from Neenah White cardstock. I blended Wheat ink in the centre of each flower and over the stems. Then, I added a touch of Mocha ink to the centre of the flower layers to create extra depth before assembling them.
For the stems, I blended Pine ink to add contrast and complement the warm tones of the flowers.
Finally, I die-cut the flower centres from Spellbinders Beeswax ColorWheel Cardstock and added a hint of Mocha ink around the edges for extra dimension and definition.

Seagulls
For the seagulls, I blended a hint of Flannel ink around the edges to add a little definition.
I also die-cut an extra set of wings and layered them on top to give the seagulls a bit more dimension and make them even cuter.
The tiny flowers on the seagull’s heads were made using die-cuts made with the new Dancing Meadows Wafer Dies, coloured with Pawsitively Saturated Heather ink
Weathered Pilings
For the Weathered Pilings, I die-cut the pieces from Neenah White cardstock.
I blended Wood ink as the base, then added Mocha and Nutmeg inks to create a realistic weathered wood effect and bring out the texture.
Assembling
Once I had all the elements inked and assembled, I arranged and adhered them to the arched panel to create the final composition.
To finish the card, I added a few Glow On EZ Strips, along with Rainbow Stardust Embellishment to add a little sparkle.
