Hello crafty friends! Today I’d like to share some Carnation Crafts inspiration with you.
As I’m still fairly new to Carnation Crafts products, I’ve been having lots of fun experimenting and discovering what they can do. Along the way, I explored different print colour options, created a fantastic embossed inlaid die-cut texture, tried Pinflair Glue for the first time (wow!), and put my 5–6 die-cut rule to work for creating quick and effective cards. Before I knew it, I had made 10 cards!
Yeah! I lost track of time when crafting, but I had like 4+ hours in tape…

LET’S TALK ABOUT Colour Choices

Artwork – Downloads

One of the things I really enjoyed exploring was the different colourways available for the printable vignettes.
Carnation Crafts offers a selection of free downloadable designs, and many of the collections are also available in several colour options, making it easy to create a completely different look and feel without changing the design itself.
Whether you prefer soft, delicate tones or richer, bolder colours, there is plenty of choice. The downloads are also very affordable, with prices ranging from around £1 to £4, making them a fantastic value for cardmakers.
You can download coordinating artwork for free at Carnation Crafts.
For these projects, I downloaded:
- Hessian Edge Collection Original Colourway
- Hessian Edge Texture Plate Vignette
- Carnation Crafts Harvest Hues Special Edition Vignette Downloads
- Floral Dawn Stylish Blooms Bonus
- Dawn Friends Vignette Downloads – Vignette 4
- Midi Arrangement Flowers Suspended In Beauty Vignette
- Midi Arrangement Flowers 2 Delivered In Style
PinFlair

One of my biggest discoveries during this crafty session was Pinflair Glue Gel.
I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by it at first because I’m so used to using foam pads for dimension. I expected it to be messy and difficult to control, but the complete opposite was true! Pinflair Glue Gel is a thick, dimensional adhesive that lets you vary the height and shape of your layers, creating a more natural 3D effect than traditional foam pads. It was surprisingly easy to use, and I can honestly say I’m a convert.
It is also good for speed…
My Simple 5 to 7 Die-Cut Rule

I often follow what I call my 5–7 die-cuts per card rule. Apart from the background, I try to limit myself to around 5–7 die-cut elements.
It keeps the design clean, speeds up the creative process, and helps me focus on building a strong focal point. As you can see from these examples, a few carefully chosen pieces are often all you need to create a card that feels detailed, layered, and complete.
For these cards, I used the Hessian dies and Hessian texture, combined with beautiful florals from the Midi Flowers Arrangement and the adorable bunnies and birds from the Dawn Friends die set.
I also dipped into my leftovers box and used a few bits and bobs from a previous crafty session I shared in a previous posts here where you can learn more about Carnation Crafts.
I hope you enjoyed this post and the video.
That’s all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
X Bibi
