TOP TIPS

Cutting the Side Panels
Cut as many box side panels as needed to create the walls of your box. For these heart-shaped boxes, I used three panels and trimmed 3″ off one of them to achieve the perfect length.
No Measuring Required
I didn’t measure anything at first. After making the first box (simply trimming away excess cardstock with scissors), I realised that removing 3″ from one panel was exactly what was needed to fit the heart shape.

Precision Gluing Is Key
This project is all about precision gluing. Take your time to adhere the side panel very tightly to the base shape, as this will give you clean, neat edges. It may take a little practice, but it’s absolutely worth it.
Use Support while gluing
Use a round container underneath to support the paper while pressing down and gluing the 3D pieces.
Decorating Your Box
You can decorate these boxes with die-cut flowers, bows, critters, or any other shapes you like to suit the occasion.

create ANY shaped Box

Gorgeous, isn’t? The tutorial for this guitar- shaped will be available in May 2026. It was made using the Spellbinders Majestic Guitar Box Creator Die Bundle and for the sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Family Musical Mix Greetings Clear Stamp Set.
