The process

The cards in this post are A2 side-fold.

First, I stamped the images using Memento Black Ink, I added colours using Arteza Alcohol markers, and I die-cut them using coordinating dies.

For the background, I applied the new Picked By Paula Inks for Lisa Horton over a piece of Simon Says Stamp Neenha 100lb cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Large Blending Brushes.

These inks are opaque (similar to Distress Oxide) and when used on Simon Says Stamp Neenha 100lb cardstock …OMG! The colours look incredible!

Ink colours used: Teal, Magenta, Grapefruit, and Ochre inks, and splatter the paper using Gold Sparkle Base.

Then, I applied Metallic Ink over the flat inner side of the Threaded Snowflakes embossing folder, placed the inked paper inside and ran it through the die-cutting machine.

I used a golden ink for the card above and a blue metallic ink for the card below.

I arranged two different scenes with the stamped images over the embossed backgrounds. I gold-heat embossed the sentiments over coloured cardstock and added some little decorative accents.
