Azalea Bunch – Altenew STAMPtember

This is a 6×4 stamp set that includes 14 individual stamps.
A large floral cluster, 4 large sentiments, and 9 small.

It took me a while to decide how to apply colours to the beautiful image, there are so many possibilities.

If yuo have the stencils the colouring process will be easy peasy.

So this is what you see in the video:

First, I cut a piece of Strathmore watercolour paper
Then, I stamped the image using Versafine Nocturne Ink. I found this to be the best ink to do this job.
Next, I applied colour petal by petal and leaf by leaf using Karin Markers
To do this, I first applied a wash of water.
Whilte the paper was wet I dropped in yellow, orange and brown ink colours.
For some petals I also used red.
I did this only once.
For the leaves, I used green and yellow markers, and I applied a few dots of brown marker while the paper was still wet.
When everything was coloured, I used a black coloured pencil to add shadows
I also used gold paint on the flower pistils.
Done!
