Hello, welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Out of The World release Blog Hop. For today, I’m sharing an easy card sketch idea using new beautiful goodies
The Simon Says Stamp Out of The World release also includes new Yellow Sunsets and Green Meadow mini ink cube colour sets! I love these!!!
- I used orangy ink tones to add colour to the flowers.
- To stamp the tone-on-tone image on the background, I used Citrine ink.
- For the stems and leaves, I used a combination of Sprout and Field inks.

Cards Recipe
I’m in love with the new Sunrise Stem die set from this release, the flower is beautiful and very easy to put together so I used it on all the samples today.
These cards are C6 (4-14″ x 5-1/2″ inches) and to make them I used the fallowing supplies:
- Sunrise Stem Wafer Dies ( flower)
- You Are My Universe stamp set ( sentiments)
- Peony Background ( stamped tone on tone background)
- Embossing Folder Circle Hoops ( background embossed panel)
- Banana Simon Says Stamp Cardstock
Inks and colouring tools
- Simon Says Stamp Corner Ink Cube Holder
- Yellow Sunsets Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes
- Green Meadows Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes

Diagonally Split card Panels -Sketch
So these cards feature a super easy layout idea or card sketch that will also allow you to make 2 cards in one go.
All you have to do is to emboss or stamp two different panels using different ink colours or cardstock. Then cut them diagonally to use the different halves in different projects.
You can use a die-cut image over or across the diagonal joint area to decorate.
Easy-peasy!
***At the bottom of this post you will find a similar idea but to make tags.
Bonus Project
Here is also another easy card idea. It measures 3-1/2 x 7″ inches and I use the same supplies as for the cards above.
This time, I cut the panel horizontally.
To add colour to this card, I used the following inks:
- Yellow Sunsets mini ink cube set, Rose, Cadette, Violet Pawsitively Saturated Inks P
- Green Meadows Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes

What inspiration!!! Have to try to the two piece diagonal cards. And I never would have thought to emboss one side. My fav is the flower rainbow card. Beautiful colors. And the upper white background makes the flowers stand out.

I was scrolling down thinking how much I really liked your cards, and wondering why I’ve never diagonally cut a background so I can make two cards from it, when all of a sudden there’s the slimline card with the different colored flowers on it and I literally said, “WOW!” out loud! Beautiful cards – love the combination of the orange flowers with the yellow background! The additional colours used on the slimline card are also gorgeous. I often use diagonal cuts in my cards – who doesn’t love a 2 for 1 deal, especially when making a bunch of cards.
