Hi BIbi, just a quick question about the event. Do you know if we will be charged Customs tax by the UK Government on top of the cost of the event? If so do you approximately how much this might be?
Dear Delia, this is a question people usually ask me about. Here in the UK, we might need to pay 20% taxes (we pay 20% taxes on everything anyway). UK costumes will charge 20% over the postage price too. I asked Spellbinders to offer an economical delivery with USPS that is a lot cheaper (about £15) than UPS or FedEx (about £36) and they are studying how to make things easier for European buyers. USPS takes longer to deliver tho and if a parcel is sent using USPS you will have to pay £12.50 extra here in the UK for handling fees because the Royal Mail is their conection for the delivery here and they charge that extra fee for taking your parcel out of customs). FedEx and USP won’t charge anything else. I love UPS! It is so effective. So The taxes for the event alone would be something around £29 + the 20% extra on postage paid. I order so many items from the USA. I just close my eyes and pay whatever taxes but I have to say that no always I have been required to pay taxes.
